Laurie founded New Leaf Financial Advisory after 25 years in institutional finance.
Laurie knew she had sharpened a wide range of skills through the years, but longed to feel a more personal connection to her work, and ultimately, a greater sense of purpose. Laurie made the jump to financial advising and immediately felt the spark she'd so desired.
Very quickly, Laurie realized that many of her clients were women who were uncomfortable with the idea of making financial decisions. Laurie has made it her mission to put the power back in her client's hands, providing the support system women need to manage their money in a way that complements their life goals. At the end of the day, Laurie is the steady hand for families and people facing some of the most challenging times of change in their lives.
Laurie has broad technical knowledge in finance, including underwriting, asset valuation, risk management, real estate and deal structure.
Her professional background includes: Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Commercial Real Estate Finance at Redwood Trust, Fixed Income, Telecommunications, and Media Group at Barclays Capital, Retail Finance at Wells Fargo Bank, Real Estate Capital Markets and Loan Syndications with Bankers Trust and Real Estate Capital Markets at J.P. Morgan.
Laurie's academic and professional certifications include: MBA Finance at NYU Stern School of Business, BA Economics at Fordham University, Master Analyst in Financial Forensics with National Association of Certified Valuators & Analysts, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst for the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, Member of the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, Member of the California Bar Association (Family Law Section) and Comprehensive Mediation Training.
Hilary joined New Leaf Financial Advisory after 25+ years in institutional finance and working for a
variety of start up companies in both the finance and technology sectors.
Hilary is now investing this knowledge to help women understand their finances better, enable them to make informed choices and confidently be in control of their financial future. In keeping with the mission of the company she aims to educate, empower and encourage women to embrace their financial future with a personalized service for each specific case.
Hilary holds an MBA and a BS in Finance. She is a CFDA® (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®) and a Member of the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts.
Hilary is a member of the Board of Directors of My Sisters Place, an agency dedicated to ending domestic violence and human trafficking through services, advocacy and community education. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the LPGA Foundation which runs female friendly initiatives to empower, inspire and transform the lives of girls and women through the game of golf. Hilary is Past President of the Board of Directors of the former Executive Women’s Golf Association, now LPGA Women Who Play, a nationwide amateur golfing organization of 12,000 women organized at 110 local chapters.
Patti Moores is experienced attorney and long time advocate of womens issues. She has joined New Leaf Financial Advisory as it expands to the East Coast. Patti is an attorney admitted in New York and New Jersey, holds a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, CDFA®, designation. She is a graduate of Boston College and St. John's University School of Law.
She brings decades of experience in litigation and mediation. She is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and competence of women to make informed financial decisions as they navigate various transitions in their lives, particularly divorce.
She is is member of the Board of Directors of My Sisters Place, an agency dedicated to ending domestic violence and human trafficking through services, advocacy and community education. Patti also sits on the Board of POTS (Part of the Solution), a program located in the Bronx dedicated to addressing poverty in an atmosphere of respect and compassion.
